For 2018, I want to push the boundaries of what a wedding could be, or should be. I want to help encourage those brides who want to step out of the box and steer away from the 'norm' or the traditional wedding. If you want to wear a leather jacket and boots, have your photos taken in the main street and wear a pink wedding dress, I say, do it!

This is a styled shoot I coordinated last year with some stellar wedding vendors in Dubbo, New South Wales. They are all masters of their craft and were keen to let me and my ideas run wild.

I'm obsessed with capturing love in all shapes and sizes, all across Australia in any setting...

I'm so lucky to have such damn talented friends! My good friend Ash asked to collaborate with me and Bec from Spoilt Beauty to put together a moody bridal inspired session following the Lazy River Estate Wedding Open Day held either this month. Both girls were doing live demo's of hair and makeup and Ash thought we should take the opportunity to use the gorgeous models for a shoot. So we did! Big thanks to Georgia, Cassie and Gabriella for being such fantastic models, and to Ash and Bec for giving up some of their time on a Sunday to show off their skills.

Best Bits of 2017

Where on earth have the last 12 months gone? Does anyone else feel like (for lack of a better term) they've blinked and it's disappeared? Having said that, 2017 has been my favourite year yet. We spent a month in America, got engaged, became home owners and I shot the most weddings of my career to date. Wedding photography is undoubtedly my biggest passion and I still can't believe that I get to do this for my job. But it's become so much more to me than just a job; photography is a way of documenting a memory to never be forgotten, it's something that can be viewed, shared, touched and kept forever...

Some of the things I've learned in 2017 are:

1. If you think you can, you probably can.

2. Eating healthy and exercising WILL make you feel good and happy.

3. Travel, take chances and don't let fear or doubt hold you back.

4. Love with all your heart, and don't take for granted everyone and everything you have.

I've met so many amazing couples and families over the past year and I can't wait for the many more that await me in 2018.

I just wanted to take the opportunity to say a HUGE thank you to all my clients, family, friends, and anyone else who has supported me on my journey so far. It's so rewarding to know that I have so much support around me and that more and more people want me to take their photographs.

With 2018 shaping up to be my biggest year yet, I'm taking some time to prepare and give it my all. I'm ready to go, all guns blazing!

I saw something on social media the other day that made me stop and think about what I want for the new year. It's exactly where I need to be and what I want to focus on everyday.

"Awake ever morning and do your best to follow this daily to do list:

1. Think positively

2. Eat healthy

3. Exercise today

4. Worry less

5. Work hard

6. Laugh often

7. Sleep well

I reckon if I stick to these, it's going to be an awesome year.

Happy New Year!

Amy xx
